Every lecture will contain assessed questions or polls, and you will
be able to vote using your cell phones (or
web-enabled device such as a laptop) via poll everywhere.
Create an account I need to be able to determine who you are, so use your uwyo email address to register, and your FULL name
De-select "I am an educator"
Select "United States" (not "United States - Education")
Once your account has been created, register your cell phone number
(ignore this if you will use a laptop)
Go under "Settings" to add the number (with your area code). Follow
instructions to certify your cell number
Please allow me to see your name: Under "Settings" choose "Voter
Registration". Select "Register as a voter". On the next page you should
enter my email address ()
Bring your cell phone or laptop to each lecture
In the lecture (assuming you're registered):
If you are using a cell phone, you will have to text PHYS1220 to 37607 at the start of each lecture to initialize the session and
play along
If you are using a laptop, you must be logged in to your polleverywhere.com account so that I can track your responses
by your name and/or email and you will answer at http://www.polleverywhere.com/PHYS1220
Standard text messaging rates may apply.
Here is a list of people who are currently registered and have successfully answered a question in lectures. If
you do not appear on this list, go back to the "Go under Settings" step. Also, make sure you have added my email address
under "Voter Registration" (step 7).
On any given day, Poll Everywhere can be slow. So, if you're panicking over a lack of response during a particular lecture,
check out the condition of the Poll Everywhere server.
