Gravitational Lensing by Galaxies
		• We’ve been talking about lensing arcs by clusters.  Individual galaxies can and do lens background objects, particularly quasars. • Not because quasars are more likely to be lensed, but they are bright distant point sources and easier to spot. • Originally found by chance, more recently targeted surveys in the radio, by HST.
