talking about lensing arcs by clusters. Individual galaxies can and do lens background objects,
particularly quasars.
•Not because quasars
are more likely to be lensed, but they are bright distant point sources and easier to
spot.
•Originally found by
chance, more recently targeted surveys in the radio, by HST.
